Theatre and the Arts

For a town of only 25,000 people, Coronado has a vibrant theater and art scene. Not only does Coronado have the Coronado Playhouse, a local community theater group, it is also home to the Lambs Player Theatre, a nonprofit theater company offering world class shows throughout the year. Another reason theater and the arts are so strong in Coronado is because Coronado is also home to COSA(Coronado School of the Arts), a nationally recognized high school program designed to educate high school students looking to focus on the arts. Lastly, Spreckels Park is home to Art in the Park, an open air art gallery held every other weekend by local artists. In addition to the wonderful theater and arts offered, Coronado also has some wonderful special events throughout the year to enjoy when you are in town.
